Synopsis:
Anglo musical will not feature Sean FitzPatick puppet on legal advice: IT IS like Hamlet without the Prince. Anglo’s former banker Sean FitzPatrick's puppet character has been resigned to the wings in the new stage musical.
The one time CEO of the bailed-out bank has been written out of Anglo: The Musical on legal advice from solicitors.
Mr FitzPatrick is currently facing criminal proceedings for giving unlawful financial assistants in 2008.
His lawyers and the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) sought separate reassurances that the financier would not be named or referenced in the show.
The DPP first sent a letter asking if writers had obtained legal advice about the content of the script, given the recent criminal proceedings.
